Leave Halifax on A629 towards Keighley. After 2 miles turn right at "Ron Lee" car showroom onto Shay Lane. Follow this road for a further 1.5 miles passing "The Shant" (on left) & "The IVY House" (on right) public houses. After Ivy House Road climbs and bares to the left go past St Catherines Catholic School & Holy Trinity School, both on left. Continue upwards and when the road levels out , North Halifax Grammer School is on the left.
